Weekly Update

Date: 1st Feb 2019 @ 4:53pm

On Wednesday we woke up to the first real snow covering of the season.  For adults, this always brings the added worry of how to travel to school and work safely.  For children it is all about the excitement and fun in the snow.  Fortunately, we were able to keep the school open all day.  The day began with a DVD; after break everyone went to their classrooms and lessons went ahead as normal. I was very fortunate to be able to spend the day with year four.  Thank you year four, I really enjoyed my day as all of you have an excellent attitude to learning.   Everyone was very excited when they were leaving school.   I hope you all had lots of fun in the snow when you arrived home.

Unfortunately we had to postpone Movie Night this week due to the wintry conditions.  This will now go ahead on Thursday 7th February.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the NSPCC Number day today.  I was really impressed with the inventive ideas that were used in the creation of the costumes.  We had numbers displayed on rulers, cash machines, dice and dominoes to name but a few.  I hope you enjoyed the many fun number based activities throughout the day.

Take care in the icy conditions, enjoy your weekend and we will look forward to seeing you next week.

Best wishes

Miss Murtagh
