Headteacher's Weekly Update

Date: 17th Mar 2019 @ 8:47pm

This week we have all taken part in National Science Week.  Each class has taken their own investigation and with lots of fun and enjoyment they have developed their scienftific understanding.  I am really looking forward to Wednesday afternoon, when we will be having a 'Sharing Assembly' to find out what each class has been learning.

On Tuesday I was lucky engough to join the school choir on their visit to the Chester Storyhouse theatre, as part of the AmaSing project.  This was a wonderful experience, proving that we have many talented pupils.  I know everyone really enjoyed themsleves.

Although it was late when we returned from the Storyhouse, it didn't dampen the spirits of all those pupils who were leaving early next morning for Y5 residential to Dobroyd Castle. Each day I looked forward to seeing the images on thier class page, they certainly looked like they had a fabulous time.  I will look forward to hearing about it next week.

On Friday evening, the pupils on this year's Sacramental Programme celebrated thier First Forgiveness.  It was a very meaningful service.  Thank you to Father Kenny and all who are supporting their preparation.  The evening ended with a family shared table, a perfect end to the evening.

Best wishes
