Headteacher’s Weekly Update - 30th November 2018

What a wonderful time we all had at last week’s Frodsham Christmas Festival.   Early in the morning Mrs Grealis along with members of staff and parent helpers were busy creating our Christmas Float.  This year’s theme was’ Jesus the Light of the World’; we chose to represent this by creating an Advent wreath.

When our float arrived on Red Lane, we could hardly believe our eyes; our float looked spectacular.  As the parade began it was lit up by twinkling Christmas lights and the smiling faces of our year three pupils and our Junior Leadership team.  The atmosphere was further enhanced by the pupils in year five carrying the lanterns they made earlier in the week. We hope you all enjoyed the event as much as we did.

On Tuesday the pupils in Class Three presented a wonderful assembly, sharing the meaning of the season of Advent and the importance of preparation.  As this Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent, it is appropriate that we gather together as a school and parish community, beginning our preparation, as the first candle on the Advent wreath it lit.  We look forward to sharing in a Family Mass, this Sunday at 10 O’clock.

Congratulations to the girls who took part in the football competition on Thursday at Ellesmere Port.  There was great teamwork by all accounts. Also to all the children who took part in the Dance competition on Thursday night, Mr Taylor said they put on a wonderful performance.  I am very proud of you all.

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Best Wishes

Miss Murtagh
