Headteacher's Weekly Update

Date: 11th Jan 2019 @ 4:53pm

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year and hoping you all had a very enjoyable Christmas break. While visiting each class on Tuesday, it was good to see everyone with smiles on their faces, ready to start the new term.  The pupils in Class Three informed me that they are each aiming for 100% attendance.  At the end of this term all pupils with 100% attendance will go in to a draw for a £20.00 gift token and those with 99% could potentially win a £10.00 gift token.  Fingers crossed class three!

With Christmas decorations put away for another year, it is hardly dull and boring as the corridor is a colourful as ever.  All classes now have a new book cover depicted on their classroom door.  A couple of my favourites are Jack and the Baked Beanstalk and George’s Marvellous Medicine.  Each class will be visiting the library again this half term.  I know many of our pupils received new books for Christmas, if you have read a book you would like to recommend, I would love to hear all about it.

We have all taken home a Change for Life booklet home this week; it has many important messages about making healthy choices, particularly when it comes to our sugar consumption.  Why not share this information with an adult; maybe you and your family can make some healthier changes this year. Staff members are also trying to be healthier this year too.

I hope you all have a good weekend.

Best wishes

Miss Murtagh
