On Thursday 3rd March, we celebrated World Book Day! This year, our whole school theme was the book 'The Day the Crayons Quit' and the school was filled with beautifully bright colours as all classes dressed as different coloured crayons. We started our day with a special assembly where we shared some of the book together before returning to our classrooms to complete different activities linked with the text. Classes created postcards from the crayons, cartoon strips of the story and poetry linked with the different colours. Other classes created radio interviews with different crayons in the book and Class 6 had a very interesting morning as all of their chairs handed in their resignation and they had to write persuasive letters to get them to return! We also each had some time in our new library space and enjoyed reading lots of different stories throughout the day.

25th March Delamere Cross Country Running KS2
Congratulations to those children in KS2 who took part in this event. All of our local schools took part with over half of KS2 volunteering to take part in this annual event. It was great to compete against other school again (without virtual competitions). We arrived in style in our executive coach. Sienna said that she felt like a proper athlete!
Everyone had a chance to walk the course and talk about his or her running strategy. Races took part according to year group and birthday. Everyone finished their races. A massive thank you to the parents who offered their support.
